IC Info

Name: Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Canon: Marvel Comics 616
Age: 28
Appearance: Peter is 5'10" with brown hair and eyes. He has a semi-muscular build, similar to a gymnast, but more solid than lithe.
Canon Point: The Amazing Spider-Man 2018 Issue #57 (Legacy #858), after the fight with Kindred and confronting Norman Osborn at the cemetery
Background: All right, people, let's do this one more time.

Personality: - Duty and responsibility sum up a lot of Peter's defining character traits. There is a reason he lives by the motto "with great power comes great responsibility." He has the ability to make things better for the people around him, so he feels bound to use his powers to do just that.
- He's known for his sense of humor, sometimes to the point of irritating everyone around him, enemies and allies alike. His quips and jokes are usually based on pop culture references, terrible puns, and other snappy one-liners.
- Despite the happy exterior, he also holds a lot of self-loathing and anxiety, mostly related to his lifetime of loss of loved ones. He has a lot of angst related to living a double life, and often blames Spider-Man for interfering in his personal and professional life.
- Peter is very independent, choosing to work alone rather than be part of any team. He has been a temporary member of several hero groups in the past, including the Avengers and the Fantastic Four, and while he is a good team player, he inevitably ends up going solo once the major crisis is resolved.
- He is extremely intelligent, with a mind finely attuned to science and engineering. He has a bachelor's and a master's degree in STEM fields, although his master's was revoked after accusations of plagiarizing his thesis. (It's not his fault, one of his greatest foes put his brain in Peter's body at the time!)

Weaknesses/Temptations: - Being willing to throw himself into the path of danger for anyone, without regard to his own safety. He will trade his life for a loved one, even if it's an obvious trap, giving his enemies a very easy way to manipulate him into doing what they want.
- His anger can lead to physical outbursts, causing serious damage due to his enhanced strength. He has a very short fuse when frustrated, or when he feels that he's not being listened to.
- He has impulsively thrown himself into conflict without getting the full story first, which has made him many enemies. Even other heroes aren't too keen on working with him, since he's gotten into fights with most of them at one point or another.
- Having grown up working class, money/financial security can sway his decisions. He is used to living on a shoestring budget and can be tempted by material goods.
- An attractive woman with a sob story will have him wrapped around her finger. He continues to work with notorious thief Black Cat because he feels sorry for the losses she has suffered, and tries valiantly to get her to see the error of her ways.

Sins: 1. Failure to prevent the death of Ben Parker.
2. Failure to prevent the death of Gwen Stacy.
3. Pride
4. Wrath
5. Envy
6. Lust
7. Dishonesty
8. Vigilantism
9. Impulsiveness
10. Selfishness

Powers/Abilities: - Enhanced super-strength, speed, reflexes, and agility. These powers are sometimes grouped together under "proportional abilities of a spider," rather flippantly by Peter. Depending on the medium, his strength varies, but is generally thought to be somewhere around a few tons. He can lift cars with little difficulty, but wouldn't be able to stop an entire building collapsing for more than a few minutes.
- "Stick-em powers," or the ability to cling to surfaces. He can stick to things with any part of his body, but seems to have more strength in his hands and feet.
- Spider-Sense, a limited form of precognition that warns of danger. He receives warnings less than a second before something happens, and they usually take the form of a vibrating sensation in the base of his skull. This gives him time to evade attacks thanks to his enhanced reflexes. When extreme danger is coming, he may feel a lower extended vibration as he is unable to tell exactly where the danger is coming from.
- Enhanced healing ability. He can heal bruises, broken bones, burns, and other mild to moderate injuries within a day or two. A major injury may take a week.
